I think this is no surprise to anyone and I think prices will continue to fall. Although there is some positive movement this year I think it will be at least another 2 years before the market stabilises.

Totally agree with you, the potential benefit to businesses is immense. Especially to smaller businesses desperate to compete. These are the kind of projects all European governments need to implement to improve their economies. Well done to Spain.

This is fantastic news! The Spanish rail network, operated by Renfe, is already proving to be wildly successful and has reduced the impact of domestic airlines within Spain. Not to mention creating jobs and setting the Spanish economy back on track (excuse the pun). Extending the network will hopefully make high-speed trains more attractive for international travellers. The challenge now is to open up the booking system to travellers from elsewhere and make it easier to research and book these trains online.

i have just read an artical about repossesion in spain and it took my bank 4 and haf years too get my house i could nt get any help even from day one from my bank and in the end it was me who signed the house over but it was a repossesion from the bank can anyone tell me how this happend

We purchased a property from Aifos in 2002 off plan we paid £70,000 as part of the contract, we have never received either the property or the money back despite honouring our part of the contract.

First when a Buyer comes to see a Spanish Abogado.(Solicitor)And pays him a Fee .He is no Longer a Suspected Buyer but a Client of the Abogado.And must be Protected by The Spanish Law.The Abogado must never Sale him anything Illegal.He must Check out the Property the Client,What he wants to Buy.From the Owner.has THE PROPERTY GOT Water /Electricity a Human Rights Agreement.Telephone.And no Money Owed on the Property.The Property Deeds are then Signed by the Abogado making his work Legal.He Sends the Property Deeds to the Notary.Who Checks all the Abogado’s Results.And then Passes the Property Deeds to the Land Registry.The Land Registry Checks the Area The House was Built, The Land that the House was Built on to.Size of the House.SIZE OF THE LAND.HOW MANY Rooms.Ext.And then Ask’s the Local Council Planning Department to Check, It all out if the House was Registered.Ext If no Fault are Found the Property Deeds will be sent back to the Notary. I’m thinking of going bankrupt but what would the long-term issues be if I tried to get a mortgage eight years. I’m balancing up wether a short term gain would be long term pain. I owe about 30 thousand on my cards and I only rent my apartment so for the short term it would be great. What I’m worried about is if I get married in the future it would quit me getting a loan. What’s the length of time that it would take to be off your records – if at all – that you’ve been bankrupt. Thanks for all your help – it will be appreciated.

I think that it all depends on the area and buyers at the moment, on the Costa Blanca south where we are located, prices have come down way below what anyone could of imagined or predicted. On the other hand, owners still believe their property is worth more than the current market value and will stick to their guns and hold out for a higher price or wait until the industry bounces back until they are willing to sell. If people think prices are still too high then they will bide their time and find the property with the right price bracket for them. But there is some seriously cheap properties out there on the market today.

I spent five days at Xanit, three of them in intensive care. The hospital is scrupulously clean, the facilities are state-of-the-art, and the doctors and surgeons are skilled. However, the nurses — especially those in intensive care — were uncaring and unprofessional. They performed tasks at their pleasure and ignored requests. They were discourteous and admonished patients if anything went wrong. Once I was covered in blood because a catheter had come out and when a nurse finally came to fix it, she told me that “it was my fault.” Another humiliated and yelled at me because I had difficulty negotiating the urinary bedpan. He couldn’t have been more than twenty years old and yet there he was, screaming at an elderly, professional man like he was a child. The nurses’ behavior did not contribute to my well-being.
